We're using this phase to deeply understand the real pain points of small businesses and startups by actually talking to the people using the product. That feedback shapes the technology we're building next.

We took a page from BVS, led by Paul English, the co-founder of Kayak. The idea is to give something genuinely useful for free in exchange for honest, direct access to your market. We eventually charge for new software we release, but what you have access to and current features won't change.

We own our own servers, so we don't pay cloud costs. Our primary operating expense is electricity — and systems like this are efficient enough that it stays minimal. That keeps our overhead low and lets us offer this freely without burning cash.

The catch is if you are an active user we will ask to schedule a feedback call every few months or so and hope you will take it so we can better understand the painpoints of the market.
